About Friendship Farm

What We Do

The Farm

Located in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Friendship Farm offers a year-round vocational program and a summer horseback riding program. We specialize in equine-assisted learning and work skills training for people with physical and/or cognitive challenges.

Our vocational training program provides job service skills and soft skills, like communication and awareness of others. The farm’s unique environment offers horses and dogs and their needs as a vehicle for learning that translates to every aspect of life.

Friendship Farm is a contracted provider with Chippewa Falls High School, Community Health Partnership, Chippewa County, and IRIS Financial.

Friendship Farm is recognized by the Children's Mental Health Alliance in the Chippewa Valley.

History

Carroll’s Friendship Farm was founded in 2006 by Pat and Jill Carroll.

The farm started a partnership with Chippewa Falls Senior High School’s outreach and jobs program and has since expanded to offer services to the greater community. Chi-Hi still sends students during school months, and many of the core members are still clients.

In 2007, Friendship Farm started the summer riding program, and in 2019, we offered the first Dressage Derby Horse Show to provide our clients with the opportunity to showcase their riding skills.

In 2022, Rebecca Meinen took the reins as Friendship Farm’s new owner and operator.
